Joan Crombie
The daughter of a cattle rancher, Joan Crombie grew up in a small town on the prairies of South Dakota. In 1985 she graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in English Education. She and her husband Steven Crombie have been married for thirty-five adventurous years and have raised five children—one daughter and four sons. Currently they reside in beautiful southern Minnesota where they pastor a church.
As an “empty nester,” Joan has more time to pursue her love of writing, which she infuses with wisdom gained from ministry and raising a family. She has always liked fiction where an ordinary girl unwittingly steps into a mystery, and in her writing she seeks to couple that with helping her character identify lies she may have believed about God and combat those lies with biblical truth. Having experienced firsthand the freedom of a healed heart, her passion is to help women grow deeper in the love of God and knowledge of him as their very personal and caring Father.
Her hobbies include thrift shopping, reading, traveling, visiting historical museums, and spending time with her eleven delightful grandchildren.
